Kelley Hunt is known in the music world as much for her prowess as a songwriter as for her powerful voice and performance. On September 23rd, the morning after Hunt’s performance at Volland’s Ruin, the doubly talented artist will share her skills in the area of songwriting.

This event is geared for all ages, from beginners to seasoned writers. Kelley will guide the group through the basics of songwriting, including how to write songs, how music and lyrics can be paired, and much more. She will also share some of the prompts she turns to for inspiration.
The workshop is group oriented, with each participant having the chance to share their creations (if they wish) and receive feedback from the class. Kelley has taught and presented in elementary settings, university courses, and everywhere in between.
Please bring a writing utensil and something to write on, but no instruments. You are welcome to bring a lunch for after the event, but no food will be provided.
