Dylan Connell (detail)
Dylan is currently a senior at Kansas State University working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Dylan began working for the Volland Store in November 2021 as an intern, creating content through varying platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Dylan’s role as the Multimedia Editor at The Collegian newspaper during the past three years has expanded his knowledge and experience both in leadership and photography. Dylan’s passion for photography began when he first joined The Collegian as a freshman, shooting journalistic photographs and since then has captured a wide array of events, including weddings and other social events. Dylan also works closely with the Kansas State Photography department as a work-study assistant, under the guidance of Professors Shree Joglekar and Rebecca Hackemann-Bahlmann, aiding with chemistry preparation and photography processing, among other responsibilities.
Currently, Dylan’s main subject matter focuses on the working class. His interest in this area was piqued due to his past experiences as a blue-collar worker, having worked at processing factories and truck driving. Dylan hopes to pursue a master’s degree in Photography after he graduates from Kansas State with wishes to become a photography professor at a university, while also actively creating art and working in the art world.
