Chef Alli will make a special appearance at The Volland Store on the evening of Saturday, March 5. Chef Alli and local ranchers will talk about where our food comes from and how it is produced – from farm to table. Join us for a delightful evening of tasty food and an opportunity to preview the exhibit.
Chef Alli is a “fancy farm wife” and creator of “Chef Alli’s Farm Fresh Kitchen,” a popular cooking segment that airs weekly on WIBW-13 News, Topeka, KS. She has been stirring up a love of farm fresh cooking across her home state of Kansas for more than a decade.
A speaker, storyteller, and self-proclaimed Kitchen Crusader, she tells the real story of Kansas agriculture and all that goes into growing and raising our food.
Chef Alli likes to know where her food comes from and appreciates the hard-working farmers and ranchers of Kansas who grow and raise it – especially her husband Pat Winter! Pat is one of the ranchers featured in Kansas Farmer, the book that is the inspiration for the exhibit, “Kansas Farmers, Ranchers, and You,” opening at The Volland Store March 6, 2016.
We are grateful to Kansas Farm Bureau, for their sponsorship of this event.
