Artists, poets, writers, scientists, musicians, motorcycles, food, and YOU – make The Volland Store come alive.
The energy that fills the place today is due to the interest, enthusiasm, and financial support of those who understand the importance of its heritage and its current place in the culture of the Flint Hills.
While making decisions about your end-of-year giving, we hope that you will consider a gift to The Volland Store Fund. We greatly appreciate your consideration!

Do you remember these? Were you here? Do you see yourself?
Several years ago, Jerry and I came across a big, brick building on a backroad in the Flint Hills. It was in serious disrepair, but we learned that it was once the center of activity in a small railroad town and that it still held memories for residents of the local community. We thought it was important to save it. We bought it, renovated it, and repurposed it as The Volland Store, A Place for Art and Community.
We believe that art is important to the life of a community. It is a universal language that bridges the gap between cultures and creates a sense of community belonging.
Thank you for your consideration in supporting art and community in the Flint Hills with a once-a-year gift to The Volland Store Fund!
